Summer Fellowship Program: Ministry Mentor Cohort Application
I have reviewed the program website and program changes. I understand that the Summer Fellowship Program is a year long commitment, and that should I be selected I will agree to fully participate in all cohort gatherings, develop a fellowship experience, connect with student fellows during spring training, facilitate a student fellow(s) with my ministry site, and mentor fellow(s) placed with my ministry site.

Describe your sense of call when it comes to faith formation and/or mentorship with young adults. What excites you about this work? What draws you to engage with young adults in a deeper way?
What do you hope to gain by participating in the cohort?
Our apprenticeship model is built around 7 key areas of mastery that we are calling "core competencies". We hope that students will leave our program having grown in each category. These competencies are identity, calling, contemplative listening, storytelling, boundaries, communication, and conflict competence.
Share an example of personal maturity you have in one or more of these core competencies.
The Ministry Mentor Cohort is designed to facilitate an intentional, collaborative community of practitioners. This means we desire to work with leaders that are excited at the prospect of supporting and lifting up one another in their unique journeys of learning, work, and faith.
Can you speak to your willingness to value and uphold an encouraging and collaborative atmosphere? Please include examples of how you prioritize collaboration with other leaders, volunteers, or churches.
Participants in the cohort will represent a diverse set of churches when it comes to tradition, worship expression, and even specific theological beliefs. We don't expect everyone in our group to agree on every issue, but we do expect leaders to be hospitable and excited at the prospect of working with other Christian ministries across difference.
Can you speak to your willingness to value and uphold spaces of belonging that honor the dignity and leaders
hip of all participants? Please include an example of how you are already prioritizing relationships across difference?
Our cohort will gather 7-8 times throughout the Fall/Winter. Please list your availability below, including days and time frames that work for your schedule (e.g. Tuesday afternoons, Wednesdays before 2pm, or not Fridays). Your availability for these sessions will be considered as we select our cohort.
